MRL Field Trip Day
The I‑MRSEC & MRL host Field Trip Day in March annually to Franklin STEAM Academy. Pack with tons learning of materials science from the experts and scientists!
I-MRSEC at EOH
The I-MRSEC provides hands-on and interactive activities to the community members annually.
This year, EOH (4/10-11, 2026) was a blast! 🎉 Hundreds of people stopped by our exhibits. We loved seeing visitors learn new concepts, ask questions, and have fun all at once!
STEM Saturdays with Principal's Scholars Program for 9-12 grade
Learn about the relevance of light and how its properties are particularly important in materials science and engineering, electronics, and computing. Use knowledge about light's reflection, refraction, and absorption to design and program a laser light show, and to construct and test a solar cell.
