The Arc Melter/Czochralski Puller can synthesizes advanced materials and grows high-quality single crystals for structural, electronic and magnetic materials research. With the Arc Melter/Czochralski Puller on the D8 ADVANCE HE system, it enables the synthesis and growth of high-quality single crystals and advanced materials, followed by high-energy X-ray diffraction analysis for detailed structural characterization.
This tool is located in room 141 MRL. Local and off-campus users interested in using these facilities should contact the Shoemaker group dpshoema@illinois.edu or mrsec-info@illinois.edu to initiate the process.
